Neighborhood Infant Toddler Center Goals and Objectives
Neighborhood Infant Toddler Center (NITC) is PACCC’s smallest program, caring for four infants and eight toddlers in a warm, home-like environment. We believe that providing care that is a continuation of the love and respect children receive from their family promotes healthy development of the self.

At NITC, our primary goal is to lovingly support the development of every child in an inclusive environment by providing experiences which allow children to explore at their own pace and developmental level, while encouraging them to reach for the stars. We believe that, by truly respecting children as individuals and creating an environment that promotes exploration of their world, children are best prepared to reach their fullest potential.

Neighborhood Infant Toddler Center Activities
Our center is nestled in beautiful Old Palo Alto. We take frequent neighborhood walks with the children and enjoy our visits to nearby Bowden Park. Art and nature experiences are offered daily, along with nutritious snacks and lunches. Periodic field trips to local points of interest, such as the Junior Museum and the Shoreline Duck Pond, allow us to explore the world outside of our little community.
Parent Information and Participation
Parents are always welcome at NITC. We value strong connections and daily communication between staff and families. Parents are encouraged to visit the center often to read with the children, share a special talent, or just join the fun. Parents are also an important part of our field trip excursions, offering extra hands and transportation. Two parent workdays and several potluck parties per year build family friendships and a strong sense of community.
