Site Supervisor - Preschool Child Care Program
Positions -- descriptions and requirements
PACCC employs childcare professionals in the following positions:
Center Director:
manages the operation of a single child care center. Responsible for enrollment, staffing, and budgeting.
Desired education and experience: BA in Child Development or related field plus three to six
years' experience. Must possess three or more units in Early Childhood Program Administration.
Assistant Director: assists the director in management and operation of a child care center. Will assume duties of Acting Director during the absence of the Center Director.
Desired education and experience: BA in Child Development or related field plus three to six years' experience. Must possess three or more units in Early Childhood Program Administration.
Head Teacher: responsible for on-floor program management and staff supervision.
Works with children on all aspects of development and communicates daily with families regarding children's progress.
Minimum qualifications: 12 semester units in ECE, plus three or more units in Early Childhood
Program Administration; two years of teaching experience. Two- or four-year degree in ECE preferred.
Teacher: works with center staff to create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum. Works with children on all aspects of development and communicates daily with
families regarding children's progress.
Minimum qualifications: 12 semester units in ECE. Two- or four-year degree in ECE preferred.
Teacher Aide: works alongside teachers in the center to enhance the curriculum. Works with children
on all aspects of development and communicates daily with families regarding children's progress.
Minimum qualifications: high school diploma
or equivalent plus some experience in child care or related environment.
Some ECE units preferred or enrolled in ECE classes.
Substitute Opportunities
As a substitute, you will help ensure appropriate ratios when regular staff are absent from the center.
